Connect to better career prospects with our Nurse Aide program
The nursing staff is the backbone of any hospital, clinic, or medical practice, providing hands-on care and compassion to patients. Certified nurse aides are key players in the healthcare field, performing basic nursing skills and supporting registered and licensed practical nurses in administering orders and treatment plans from physicians. They have to be skilled in areas like CPR and first aid, infection control, safety and emergency procedures, communication and teamwork, and the legal and ethical regulations governing the healthcare field.
Nurse aides often perform tasks like:
- Assisting with diagnostic procedures and technical treatments
- Dressing, bathing, feeding, and personal patient care
- Taking vitals and reporting significant observations
- Helping with patient charting and instruction
