Burke brings over 13 years of education and management experience to growing Lubbock campus
Lubbock, TX – August 24, 2012 – Vista College has named education and management professional Debbie Burke the new campus director for its Lubbock campus. Burke brings over 13 years of extensive education and management experience from her previous positions in technical colleges in Oklahoma, where she has served as campus director, vice president/executive director, and registrar.
Prior to joining Vista College, Burke was campus director of Oklahoma Technical College, where she excelled in increasing student population, building and maintaining solid student relationships, developing faculty and staff, and ensuring excellent communication and interface with all parties. Additionally, she was effective in cutting costs, providing marketing ideas, and beginning a high school program for the campus. Prior to this position, she spent numerous years as vice president/executive director at Tulsa Welding School, where she was responsible for all operations including overseeing the main campus as well as the expansion site through completion, and working with all aspects of school finances and budgeting. Additionally, she has solid experience with state licensure approvals, compliance and default prevention.
