Vista College Hosts Ribbon Cutting Celebration and Open House for the Community

Fort Smith, Arkansas – April 15, 2016 – Vista College will host a ribbon cutting and open house at its Fort Smith Campus on Tuesday, April 26, at 12:30 p.m., at 1200 S. Waldron Road, Ste. 122. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 12:45 p.m. followed by campus tours and opportunities to visit with staff and faculty. The campus, which opened in 2015, is Vista’s first in Arkansas and its 10th campus overall.

“The ribbon cutting and open house mark the official grand opening celebration of this wonderful and established campus, and this is a perfect opportunity for the community to come see all that we have to offer,” said Sheila Gawne, campus director. “We are so proud of all of our hard-working and talented students, remain committed to their successes, and love being a part of the Fort Smith community.”

The Fort Smith campus offers an assortment of nationally accredited Degree programs and other training opportunities to help students build their skills and become attractive candidates to potential employers. Vista’s Diploma and Degree programs broaden the community’s higher education opportunities. Areas of study include Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Dental Assisting, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (a program unique to this campus), Business Administration or Associate’s Degree in a number of fields including Business Management, Information Technology, Medical Assisting and Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. Additionally, the campus offers flexibility to students with day and evening courses beginning every five weeks.
