VISTA COLLEGE INVITES COMMUNITY TO Ribbon Cutting/Open House For New HEATING, VENTILATION & AIR CONDITIONING DIPLOMA PROGRAM (HVAC)

All-new 4,325 sq. ft. HVAC technical training facility, part of the college’s 14,220 sq. ft. expansion, doubling the size of campus, is now complete and enrolling applicants for April 22 start date


Longview, TX – April 2, 2013 – Vista College invites the community to a ribbon cutting and open house for its all-new 4,325 sq. ft. heating, ventilation & air conditioning technical training facility, Thursday, April 11, from 6 – 8 p.m.  (Ribbon cutting at 6:30 p.m.) The facility, part of Vista College’s Longview campus’ 14,220 sq. ft. expansion project begun in 2012, is now complete and enrolling for an April 22 class start date.  This expansion has doubled Vista’s Longview campus’ original size, increasing it from 14,400 sq. ft. to 28,620 square feet. Vista College Campus Director Tim Armstrong, and local HVAC owners, speaking on the importance of HVAC training, will attend the event.

This new HVAC Diploma program can be completed in as little as one year with successful, full-time enrollment.   The program provides both academic and practical experience in basic refrigeration, electricity and magnetism, brazing, soldering, piping, sheet metal fabrication, air conditioning, heating, commercial applications and more.  Graduates are ready for entry-level positions installing air conditioners, servicing equipment, providing maintenance services and much more.

“Individuals looking for a new career path can finish the program quickly, allowing them to begin a rewarding profession as a HVAC technician,” said Tim Armstrong, Vista College campus director.  “We are excited to bring this program to Longview.”
