Vista College's forensic course gives students an introductory look in to forensic science, a field made popular by TV shows like CSI. Students taking this course will learn:
- Chain of evidence and custody forms
- Brief laboratory and microscopic skills with blood spatter and luminal, tire tread and paint chip techniques
- Use of plaster impressions, as well as, fingerprint powder
- Ballistics, firearm identification, DNA and entomology
- In-depth study on crime scene investigation and trace evidence
