Richardson, TX– January 11, 2016 – Vista College has added a bachelor’s Degree in project management – its second online bachelor’s Degree, joining the already established business management bachelor’s program. Enrollment has begun for the project management classes, which start February 8.
“Our online project management bachelor’s Degree teaches our students the strategic competencies needed to work in this field, enabling them to tie project results to business goals,” said Online Director Dr. Art Waller. “We are definitely seeing a greater demand for online education as more and more people are finding that going back to school online is a much more convenient option than spending time, money, and energy commuting to and from campus while working 40-plus hours a week. Our wish is to help them achieve their goals by providing high-quality, specialized career preparation, resulting in employment and success.”
Preparing students for an entry-level career as a project manager, the online project management bachelor’s Degree provides the fundamental knowledge and skills utilized in project management positions including planning, organizing, implementing, leading and controlling the work of a project to meet the goals and objectives of the organization. Additionally, the program explores various areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
“It goes without saying that students today are more digitally savvy than generations of the past, which we feel is helping fuel the growing interest in online education,” added Waller. “This is in addition to the obvious fact that online education meets an important need for those who need flexibility, especially non-traditional students who are balancing families and work. Another benefit is that online graduates demonstrate they are technology-savvy as well as disciplined and self-motivated and can effectively communicate and collaborate – critical soft skills, valued by all employers.”
Vista College not only offers a wide variety of career training programs online but also throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Arkansas. Each career program is staffed with industry experts and leading professionals, ensuring students an affordable, quality education that will help them pursue successful careers in their chosen fields. Financial aid is available for those that qualify. Graduates benefit from Vista’s career services assistance, which includes resume preparation and interview coaching.
