Longview, TX – May 15, 2012 – Vista College announced today that Congressman Louie Gohmert will be visiting the Longview Campus on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 1pm to 2pm.
The Congressman will tour the campus, meet with students and speak on career training, jobs and funding for higher education. Vista recently opened their newest campus in Longview, specializing in providing quality, focused career preparation in a variety of different industries, including Healthcare, Business and Technology.
“We appreciate the Congressman’s support of our students and career training,” said Jim Tolbert, CEO of Vista College. “He has a wonderful record of job creation in his district, and we are very happy to be part of the economic develop of East Texas. It is an honor to host the Congressman.”
Congressman Louie Gohmert was first sworn in January 4, 2005 and is currently serving his fourth term in the United States House of Representatives. He proudly represents the First District of Texas that encompasses over 12 counties stretching nearly 120 miles down the state’s eastern border.
Congressman Gohmert serves on numerous House committees and subcommittees. He was recently named Vice Chair of the Judiciary subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security due to his extensive knowledge stemming from years in the courtroom.

The Longview campus of Vista College offers individuals the opportunity to earn a Diploma or an Associate’s Degree in a number of fields including Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Business Administration, Business Management and Network Administration.
